First Tennessee Park, home of the Nashville Sounds Triple-A baseball club, is located in the Germantown area north of downtown Nashville. A portion of the new ballpark sits on the site of historic Sulphur Dell ballpark which sat from 1870 to 1969.
The new ballpark includes 8,500 fixed seats inclusive of club suites as well as lawn seating for an additional 1,500 patrons. The project includes state of the art video production, sound systems, field lighting and a signature guitar-shaped scoreboard. In addition to the ballpark, components of the project include major infrastructure upgrades, flood mitigation, and a new section of the Nashville Greenway.
